The long awaited re-opening of the petrol station in Santa Barbara de Nexe, near Faro, took place recently. The Repsol station is now under direct management of the family owners, mother and daughter Amelia and Karen. It is not just the village petrol station (with self-service car wash) but also a place to have a meal, a snack or just a coffee and a pleasurable read of your favourite newspaper in the shade of the covered esplanade. The Gourmet shop also sells special regional products. Atelier do Sul was chosen to create the logo and develop it across a full range of items from signs and stationary, to the interior decor of the shop itself.

The University of Loulé, along with a group of well-versed professional property business students doing degree in Management and Real Estate, recently invited the founder and CEO of Atelier do Sul Design Consultants to make a presentation on ‘The Value of Design’ in relation to the Internet for the real estate market in the Algarve. The presentation covered Website design, Responsive Design, QR Codes and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO). Fred, who is considered a design guru and whose design consultancy also specialises in this field, entertained approximately 75 professionals invited for the 25-minute presentation.
