The menu is the most important internal marketing and sales tool a restaurant has to market its offer to customers .A well-designed menu can educate and entertain the customer as well as be a strong communication and marketing tool in increasing sales. The Camara Municipal de Loulé, (Town council), badly needed to bring their media communication design for print up to date and to reflect the offer of the whole municipality. The new concept had to be coherent and adaptable enough to be used for a wide spectrum of the offer, from traditional to contemporary, from historic buildings and religious festivities, artesian goods and the hinterland, to the razzmatazz of late summer nights on the streets with the likes of Festival Med, White Night, Carnival and a host of others, not to mention with the world acclaimed beaches, golf courses, real estate and tourism offer on the prime and most well-known section of the Algarve coastline, stretching from Quinta do Lago to Vilamoura. It was indeed a challenge!
Helping the public find their way round Vilamoura falls within the responsibilities of the public/private infrastructure company, Inframoura. We took on the design to update the map, a very detailed information tool, available both in printed format and displayed in the ‘MUPI’s’ around Vilamoura.
The launch of the new cocktail menu “The Age of Discovery” with the creations of head bartender Nelson de Matos, at Conrad Algarve, has been a resounding success. The new menu, not only admired for Nelson’s creativity but also because of its unique design featuring a stitch bound cloth-touch cover, is inspired by the greatest Portuguese epic “Os Lusiadas” by the poet Luíz Vaz de Camões and the main theme is the discovery of the sea route to India. A true journey of unique flavours and a feast for the senses. Just a few months ago, Nelson and his team achieved at the Lisbon Bar Show the of award “Best Hotel Bar”. Our congratulations!
